Sony Pictures has unveiled the first footage of Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, offering fans a glimpse of an intense and emotional climax to Miles Morales’ story. The preview continues immediately after the events of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, depicting Miles trapped in an alternate dimension.

In this new realm, Miles encounters a darker version of himself known as Miles G. Morales, who has assumed the identity of the villainous Prowler. The footage reveals Miles being restrained and interrogated by this alternate uncle, Aaron, before tensions escalate into a fierce confrontation between the two versions of the character.

During the encounter, Miles uses his electric venom powers to break free, sparking a fast-paced battle. The scene also teases appearances from familiar allies across the multiverse, including Spider-Gwen, Spider-Ham, and Spider-Noir, suggesting a broader rescue mission is underway.

Directors Bob Persichetti and Justin K. Thompson have described the film as the “final chapter” in Miles’ journey, promising it will deliver the most emotionally charged and visually stunning installment to date. The screenplay is penned by Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, and David Callaham.

Shameik Moore returns as the voice of Miles Morales, supported by a star-studded cast featuring Hailee Steinfeld, Daniel Kaluuya, Nicolas Cage, and Jake Johnson. Although originally scheduled for release in 2024, the film experienced delays due to industry strikes and the intricate animation process. It is now set to premiere in theaters on June 18, 2027.
