Emily in Paris Season 6 Shifts Filming to Greece and Monaco

The popular Netflix series Emily in Paris is preparing for a significant change in its backdrop for the upcoming sixth season. Lily Collins’ character, Emily, will venture beyond the familiar Parisian streets, with new scenes set in Greece and Monaco. This marks one of the most notable location shifts in the show’s history.

Filming is scheduled to commence next month, promising a vibrant and sun-drenched new chapter for the fashion-centric drama. The transition was subtly hinted at in the season five finale, where Emily received a postcard from Gabriel, her on-again, off-again love interest portrayed by Lucas Bravo. Gabriel’s character had moved to Greece to work as a chef on a billionaire’s yacht, paving the way for Emily’s potential departure from Paris.

In a significant development, series creator Darren Star has emphasized that Gabriel’s storyline remains integral to the series, stating he “can’t imagine the series without Gabriel,” despite the character’s relocation. While previous seasons have occasionally featured trips outside Paris, including visits to Rome and Venice, the upcoming season is set to broaden the show’s international scope even further.

Meanwhile, off-screen, Lily Collins has attracted attention for a personal milestone. She recently appeared at PaleyFest in Los Angeles, showcasing her engagement ring, which had been missing for some time. The “exceptionally rare” ring, designed by her husband Charlie McDowell, was stolen during their stay at the West Hollywood EDITION hotel in 2023, making its return a notable event.
