The Israeli military has confirmed the targeted killing of a senior Hezbollah commander in a precision airstrike on Beirut. The operation focused on the leader of Hezbollah’s elite Radwan Force, who was the primary objective during the raid on the southern suburbs of the Lebanese capital.
The strike hit a densely populated residential area known as a Hezbollah stronghold, resulting in a massive explosion that destroyed a multi-story building. Lebanese emergency teams responded swiftly, searching through the debris for survivors amid the devastation.
This attack represents a significant escalation in the ongoing conflict along the Israel-Lebanon border, which has seen weeks of increasing cross-border exchanges between the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and Hezbollah militants.
