Pakistan to Host Women’s U19 T20 Tri-Series with Sri Lanka, Bangladesh

Pakistan is set to host an Under-19 women’s T20 International tri-series involving teams from Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh from October 2 to 16. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has confirmed that all 10 matches will take place at Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad.
Matches are scheduled to begin each day at 10:00 AM. The tri-series will follow a triple round-robin format, allowing each team to play six matches as part of their preparation for the upcoming Asia Cup and World Cup tournaments. The two highest-ranked teams after the round-robin stage will face off in the final on October 16.
In a significant development, Sri Lanka’s Under-19 squad is expected to arrive in Pakistan on September 28, followed by Bangladesh’s team on September 29. Meanwhile, Pakistan’s women’s Under-19 squad has been announced, with Fizza Fayyaz appointed as captain. Notably, Qamrosh Farhan, Pakiza Shabbir, Malaika Sihani, and Afshin Khan have been selected for the first time.
Pakistan will commence its training camp on Wednesday at Boranwala Ground and Iqbal Stadium. Meanwhile, the visiting teams from Bangladesh and Sri Lanka will conduct their training sessions at Iqbal Stadium from September 29 to October 1, ahead of the tournament.
