Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) lawyer Salman Safdar met party founder Imran Khan and his wife, Bushra Bibi, at Adiala Jail. During the visit, he discussed the couple’s health and legal matters with them.
The meeting was scheduled for 4:30pm and lasted about 40 minutes, according to details shared. It was Safdar’s first meeting with Khan in seven months, despite repeated requests, and his first with Bushra Bibi in 11 months.
Lawyer says forty minutes was too short for cases
Safdar said the time was not enough to cover all the cases and legal matters involving the PTI founder. The couple told him about their health and conditions inside the jail.

PTI conditions support for proposed amendment on Khan’s release
Sources said the PTI parliamentary party has decided to conditionally back the proposed 28th Constitutional Amendment, provided Imran Khan is released. A majority of participants favoured linking the party’s support to his release, sources said.
Six-member committee to address Khan’s access and treatment
The parliamentary party also agreed to form a six-member steering committee to deal with access to Imran Khan and his medical treatment. Mahmood Khan Achakzai and Allama Raja Nasir Abbas will lead it, and its members include two MNAs, two senators and one representative each from Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The committee will negotiate with the government and other relevant individuals on these matters, sources added.
