Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Interior has warned that anyone who helps people breach the Kingdom’s residency, labour or border security rules will face strict punishment. Authorities said those who transport, employ, shelter or otherwise support violators will be penalised under the updated regulatory framework.
Penalties for assisting residency and labour violators
- Imprisonment: up to six months in jail.
- Fines: up to SR100,000.
- Deportation: immediate removal of expatriates involved.
- Confiscation and naming: vehicles or properties used to transport or shelter offenders may be seized, and repeat offenders may be publicly named.
The ministry has urged citizens and legal residents to stay vigilant and cooperate fully with law enforcement to protect labour market security and public safety.
How to report suspected violations
Members of the public can report suspected residency or labour infractions through official emergency channels. Callers in Riyadh, Makkah, Madinah and the Eastern Province should dial 911, while those in all other regions should dial 999.
