Tarar Claims Pakistan’s Global Rise Amid India’s Setbacks

Information Minister Attaullah Tarar stated on Saturday that Pakistan is gaining prominence on the global stage, while its neighbor India is experiencing setbacks and humiliation. Speaking at an event in Islamabad commemorating “Youm-e-Marka-e-Haq,” Pakistan’s official day of remembrance for the 2025 India-Pakistan conflict, Tarar emphasized Pakistan’s enhanced standing both diplomatically and militarily.

He noted that countries worldwide take pride in their relations with Islamabad, contrasting this with India’s situation, which he described as marked by isolation, failure, and disgrace. Tarar accused India of neglecting to condemn militant activities within Pakistan and reiterated claims that Indian national Kulbhushan Jadhav was caught red-handed engaging in such acts.

In a significant development, Tarar portrayed Pakistan as a champion of peace following what he called a successful conflict, highlighting that the struggle extended beyond the battlefield into diplomatic arenas. He referenced the Pahalgam incident, asserting that India failed to present evidence when challenged and accused New Delhi of fostering militancy, while Pakistan remains committed to combating it.

Tarar stressed Pakistan’s role as a responsible state by expressing concern over militant incidents and honoring the sacrifices made by various sectors of society in this fight, including attacks like the Army Public School massacre and the Jaffar Express bombing. He also recalled the 2019 capture of Indian Air Force pilot Abhinandan Varthaman as a notable episode in the ongoing conflict.
