Balochistan launches Sehat Dehleez free telehealth app

The Balochistan government has launched a telehealth application called Sehat Dehleez, which gives residents across the province free medical consultations with qualified doctors. The service is aimed in particular at people in remote areas who often struggle to reach medical facilities.

Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti announced the initiative in a statement posted on X, describing the response during the first 24 hours of operation as encouraging. The post is dated October 21, 2026.

Early response figures for the Sehat Dehleez service

Bugti said the platform received 791 consultation calls on its first day, and 495 consultations were completed. Of those calls, 718 included location information, and the service reached people in 35 districts across Balochistan.

He said the initiative was intended to make healthcare easier to reach for people in remote areas, particularly during extreme weather. Bugti described the strong turnout as a clear sign of public trust and said the government was working towards a healthier and stronger province.

According to the chief minister, the app offers free consultations around the clock, covering general health, maternal and child health, and guidance on common illnesses. In a separate Urdu post, he also shared a link to the app and said doctors would be available to the public at all hours, every day of the year.

How PPHI Balochistan runs the digital service

The initiative was introduced by the People’s Primary Healthcare Initiative (PPHI) Balochistan to improve access to timely medical advice through digital technology. PPHI Balochistan said residents can consult doctors from their homes, which reduces the need to travel, particularly in areas where healthcare facilities are limited.

The organisation said the service also aims to raise health awareness, with a focus on maternal and child healthcare. It said the telehealth initiative was designed to be convenient and responsive to public needs.

Residents can access Sehat Dehleez through its web application and Android app by scanning QR codes provided by the organisation. PPHI Balochistan described the launch as an effort to expand digital healthcare services across the province.
