    Chevron and Eni to Expand Oil Ventures in Venezuela Amid New Agreements

    In a significant development for the global energy sector, US-based Chevron and Italy’s Eni have inked agreements to expand their oil exploration and production activities in Venezuela. These deals were finalized in Caracas, marking a renewed commitment by international firms to invest in the South American nation’s vast hydrocarbon resources. This move comes shortly after Venezuela agreed to allow the United States control over a fifth of its oil reserves, signaling a shift in the country’s energy diplomacy and economic strategy.

    Venezuela holds some of the world’s largest proven oil reserves, and the involvement of major foreign companies like Chevron and Eni is crucial for revitalizing its struggling oil industry.
