Pakistan’s National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has cautioned people in Punjab about fake websites that pose as providers of civilian arms licence applications. The authority said fraudsters are running counterfeit online portals that target applicants, charge inflated fees and put their personal details at risk.
Advice for applicants seeking civilian arms licences
NADRA urged citizens to examine web addresses closely before filling in forms, uploading identity papers or paying any fees. Applicants were also told to steer clear of unverified sites that say they can handle the licensing process.
The authority warned that using such fraudulent platforms could lead to financial losses and misuse of sensitive personal data. Citizens were advised to rely only on verified, official channels and to confirm any website’s legitimacy before going ahead. NADRA added that most unofficial arms licence websites are likely to be fake.
