Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi said on Wednesday that the decision of governor’s rule was very difficult. He promised to turn the province into a peaceful one.
Speaking in Peshawar, Kundi said some political parties were involved in propaganda on social media.
Governor’s remarks on Fazlur Rehman and minerals
Responding to a statement by Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Kundi said the Maulana had informed them about minerals in Dera Ismail Khan. He asked what logic there was in finding minerals and not using them, saying they would be extracted.
“We will first protect our people and then we will initiate work,” he said.
Terrorism, encroachments and security in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
Kundi said everyone had to confront terrorism, and that police and security forces could not win the fight without people’s support. He also said there would be no compromise over encroachments, and action would be taken against illegal constructions.
