A significant event titled “MARKA-E-HAQ PAKISTAN – Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos, Battle of Truth Victory Day” took place in Dallas to mark the first anniversary of Pakistan’s triumph over India in the May 5, 2025 conflict. The gathering attracted a large turnout from the Pakistani diaspora, reflecting a strong sense of unity and patriotism.
Community leader Abdul Hafeez Khan hosted the event, which resonated with chants of “Pakistan Zindabad” and “Pakistan Army Zindabad.” Distinguished guests included Sindh Governor Nehal Hashmi, Overseas Pakistani Foundation Chairman Syed Qamar Raza, and Vice Consul General from Houston Usher Shahzad, alongside community leaders, journalists, and business personalities.
In his address, Governor Hashmi highlighted Pakistan’s robust response to recent hostilities, emphasizing the country’s military prowess on the global stage. He underscored that ideology forms the backbone of a nation’s strength and encouraged the youth to actively participate in shaping Pakistan’s future, particularly through economic development.
Hashmi also referenced Pakistan’s nuclear program, stating that nuclear capability has rendered the nation invincible. He lauded the Pakistan Air Force’s accomplishments, recalling the legendary MM Alam, who famously shot down five Indian jets in record time during the 1965 war. The governor emotionally expressed confidence that Pakistan’s future leadership will arise from its youth.
Chairman Syed Qamar Raza spoke about the vital economic role played by overseas Pakistanis, noting that remittances reached $38.3 billion last year and are projected to surpass $41 billion this year. He urged the diaspora to utilize legal channels for sending money, highlighting that increased remittances could reduce Pakistan’s reliance on the International Monetary Fund.
Notably, senior journalist Sohail Warraich remarked that Pakistan’s achievements are gaining international recognition. The event concluded with special prayers for the country’s security, stability, and prosperity, reinforcing the community’s collective hope for Pakistan’s continued progress.
