NAB Facilitates Transfer of 6,500 Kanal Public Land to CDA

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has played a pivotal role in securing the transfer of 6,500 kanal of land designated for amenity and public utility purposes to the Capital Development Authority (CDA). This land transfer is crucial for the development and maintenance of public infrastructure and green spaces within the capital. The recovered land was previously under dispute or misappropriation, and its return marks a significant step toward restoring public assets.

In a significant development for urban management, the transfer will enable the CDA to better plan and execute projects aimed at improving the quality of life for residents. The availability of this land will support the creation of parks, recreational areas, and essential public facilities, which are vital for sustainable city growth. Meanwhile, NAB’s intervention highlights its ongoing commitment to combating corruption and ensuring the protection of public resources.

This move is expected to have a lasting impact on Islamabad’s urban landscape by preserving valuable land for community use and preventing illegal encroachments. It also sets a precedent for future recoveries of public property, reinforcing the importance of accountability in land management. The collaboration between NAB and CDA underscores the need for coordinated efforts to safeguard public interests and promote orderly urban development.
