Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are reportedly preparing to wed this summer, with new information indicating that New York City will serve as the backdrop for their much-anticipated wedding. Save-the-date invitations have reportedly been distributed, confirming a ceremony scheduled for July 3 in the city known as the Big Apple.
The timing is particularly significant, as it coincides with Swift’s well-documented fondness for Independence Day celebrations. The choice of New York City as the venue comes as a surprise to many fans, who had speculated that the couple might prefer a more secluded location such as Rhode Island, where Swift owns an expansive estate.
Earlier reports had hinted that the couple was considering a grander event capable of accommodating a large number of guests. New York City holds considerable personal and professional importance for Swift, who has maintained a strong presence there, especially in the Tribeca neighborhood where she owns several properties.
If the plans are confirmed, Swift and Kelce would join a distinguished group of celebrities who have chosen New York as their wedding destination. Notable couples who have tied the knot in the city include Hailey and Justin Bieber, Mariah Carey and Tommy Mottola, Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick, as well as Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas.
Swift and Kelce, both aged 36, announced their engagement in August 2025 after their relationship became public in 2023. To date, neither has officially confirmed the wedding details.
