Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Sunday that a trilateral meeting between Kyiv, Washington and Moscow would take place in November. The talks are aimed at restarting stalled peace negotiations.

Speaking in an interview with Ukrainian television, Zelensky said territorial questions must be handled at leadership level, while other issues fall to technical groups. He said all of these matters could be discussed in November.

US envoys’ role in Oslo and Russia visit

US envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner took part in talks in Oslo last Tuesday with Zelensky and the leaders of Norway and Finland. Witkoff attended in person, while Kushner participated remotely.

Witkoff is expected to travel to Russia later to meet President Vladimir Putin and discuss ideas on a ceasefire in the Ukraine conflict.
