Mojtaba Khamenei Vows ‘Decisive Triumph’ and Signals Shift on Strait of Hormuz

Iran’s Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei has delivered a series of forceful statements, expressing strong confidence in both diplomatic negotiations and military outcomes. He indicated a possible change in Tehran’s stance regarding the strategically crucial Strait of Hormuz.

In posts shared on X, Khamenei conveyed hope for a “decisive triumph” over Iran’s adversaries, both at the negotiation table and on the battlefield. He framed this expectation within a religious context, invoking faith in divine support and prayers linked to Imam Mahdi, which he said would soon produce tangible results.

Notably, Khamenei alluded to a significant policy shift concerning the management of the Strait of Hormuz, a vital global energy transit route. Although he did not specify the measures involved, his remarks are expected to raise international concerns due to the waterway’s critical role in global oil supplies.

Despite his assertive rhetoric, Khamenei emphasized that Iran does not seek war but will firmly defend what he described as its “legitimate rights.” He also highlighted Iran’s solidarity with allied groups in the region, referring to the “Resistance Front” as a cohesive force.

In a particularly charged declaration, Khamenei reaffirmed Iran’s commitment to avenging the killing of its former leader Ali Khamenei and others who perished in what he termed the “Second and Third Imposed Wars.” He stated that this determination continues to influence Iran’s national perspective and long-term goals.

These statements come amid escalating regional tensions, with ongoing conflicts and a volatile security environment across the Middle East, underscoring the gravity of the situation surrounding the Strait of Hormuz.
