Karachi is in for more hot, dry days, with temperatures possibly climbing to 38°C before Friday, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) said in a statement on Monday.
After Friday, the mercury is forecast to hover between 34°C and 36°C, meaning daytime heat stays fairly high even as the weather pattern shifts, the department added.
Cooler nights and above-normal November forecast in Karachi
The PMD said nights have already begun to cool, with overnight readings expected to drop to about 22°C in coming days, though temperatures overall should stay warmer than usual.
For November, the department forecast daytime highs of 33°C to 35°C and night-time lows of 19°C to 22°C throughout the month.
Typical November figures for the city are 32.6°C by day and 17.7°C at night, and the forecast suggests both could stay above those monthly averages.
