Indiana Fever guard Sophie Cunningham has again shown she is not shy with the media. In a recent interview, she quickly brushed off a series of personal questions about her dating life.
The questions came amid heavy speculation on social media and viral sightings that prompted interviewers to ask about her relationship status. When asked about the last time she had been on a “real” date, the 6’1″ WNBA player refused to answer. “Why? I’m not answering this,” she said.
Cunningham turns dating questions into humour
In a clip of the exchange posted online on September 2, 2026, interviewer Caleb Pressley asked about her worst first date. Cunningham replied that people rarely approach her, so she does not really go on dates.

Rather than appear awkward, she kept her usual frankness. “No one ever approaches me, you know I don’t really date,” Cunningham said, joking that she may simply come across as intimidating.
