Fast bowler Naseem Shah has been sidelined indefinitely from the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) season after suffering an injury during a recent game. The Rawalpindi franchise confirmed that the pacer sustained a side injury while competing against the Karachi Kings.

The team management revealed that the injury’s severity will keep Naseem Shah out of action for an unspecified period. Their medical staff is actively monitoring his condition and managing his rehabilitation process to ensure a full recovery.

In an official statement, the franchise announced, “Naseem Shah sustained a side injury during the match against Karachi Kings and is now out for an indefinite period.” Meanwhile, the management expressed cautious optimism regarding his potential return later in the tournament, contingent on successful rehab and medical clearance.

“We remain hopeful that after completing his rehabilitation and regaining full fitness, Naseem Shah may rejoin the squad in the latter stages of the PSL,” the statement added. The franchise also reiterated its full support for the young bowler, emphasizing their commitment to stand by him throughout his recovery journey.

Naseem Shah’s prolonged absence is anticipated to be a major blow for his team, given his vital role in spearheading the bowling attack during the tournament. His injury leaves a significant gap that the Rawalpindi side will need to address as the PSL progresses.
