Earthquake tremors were felt in Swat and nearby areas on Sunday, according to the Seismological Centre, which put the quake at 4.4 on the Richter scale.
The centre said the earthquake struck at a depth of 105 kilometres, with its epicentre located in the Hindu Kush mountain range.
The tremors caused concern among residents, although no immediate reports of casualties or damage had been received.
Local media also reported tremors in Batkhela and other parts of Malakand district on Sunday, citing a seismic monitoring centre.
