In a significant development aimed at deepening military ties, the Chief of Staff of the US Air Force, General Kenneth Wilsbach, welcomed Indian Chief of the Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal A P Singh, in Arlington. The Indian air chief was received with full military honours, underscoring the importance of the visit.

The high-level discussions centered on expanding defence cooperation between the two nations, with a particular focus on improving interoperability between their air forces. Both sides explored avenues for joint training exercises, capability enhancement, and the exchange of expertise to foster mutual learning.

This meeting reflects the ongoing strategic partnership between the United States and India, which has been steadily growing in recent years amid shared security interests in the Indo-Pacific region. Strengthening air force collaboration is seen as a key component of broader defence ties, contributing to regional stability and preparedness.

Meanwhile, the dialogue also highlighted the commitment of both countries to work closely on future challenges and opportunities in defence technology and operations, reinforcing their alliance in an increasingly complex global security environment.
