Talks focus on mining and local processing plants

During the meeting, participants discussed investment opportunities, the development of mineral resources and the use of modern technology to improve mining and processing work. Chinese investors showed strong interest in the province’s mineral potential and looked at ways to work with local stakeholders.

Dr Syed Sarfaraz Ali Shah said the Chinese investors would carry out mining to extract raw minerals in the province. He added that they also planned to set up processing plants in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa so that raw minerals could be processed locally.

The proposed initiatives are intended to attract investment, bring in modern technology and deepen cooperation between Pakistani and Chinese investors in the sector.
