On the occasion of Pakistan Day, Chinese President Xi Jinping extended a heartfelt congratulatory message to President Asif Ali Zardari on Monday. In his message, President Xi expressed his readiness to collaborate closely with President Zardari to further deepen the longstanding friendship between China and Pakistan. He emphasized the importance of building a stronger Sino-Pakistani community with a shared future, particularly in the context of the evolving global landscape and new era challenges.

President Xi also drew attention to two significant milestones this year: the launch of China’s 15th Five-Year Plan and the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries. These milestones underscore the enduring partnership and mutual commitment that have characterized Sino-Pak relations since their inception. He expressed optimism that both nations would continue to nurture their traditional friendship, enhance strategic communication, and align their development strategies to support each other’s modernization efforts.

In his message, President Xi praised the Pakistani government for its unwavering dedication to protecting national sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity. He acknowledged Pakistan’s resilience in overcoming various risks and challenges, highlighting the country’s progress in national development. Furthermore, he commended Pakistan’s contributions to regional peace, stability, and prosperity, recognizing its growing role in fostering a secure and cooperative environment in South Asia.

China, described by President Xi as a close and sincere friend, takes great pride in Pakistan’s achievements and development milestones. This sentiment reflects the deep-rooted friendship and strategic partnership that both countries have cultivated over decades, which continues to strengthen amid changing geopolitical dynamics.

Meanwhile, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi also conveyed his congratulations on Pakistan Day through a message addressed to Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar. Wang Yi, who is a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, highlighted Pakistan’s progress in overcoming numerous challenges over recent years. He noted the country’s significant economic and social advancements and its increasingly influential role in regional and international affairs.

In his message, Foreign Minister Wang reiterated China’s commitment to working alongside Pakistan to implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of both nations. He emphasized the goal of deepening the all-weather strategic cooperative partnership, which remains a cornerstone of bilateral relations. This partnership aims to foster closer collaboration across multiple sectors, including economic development, security, and cultural exchange, ensuring sustained growth and mutual benefit for both countries.
