    Senator Sherry Rehman’s Daughter Marvi Malik Passes Away After Brain Haemorrhage in Karachi

    In a tragic development that has deeply saddened the political community and the nation, Marvi Malik, the daughter of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Senator and former federal minister Sherry Rehman, passed away in Karachi. The news was confirmed by the PPP Secretariat on Sunday, revealing that Marvi had been battling complications after suffering a brain haemorrhage several days earlier. Her untimely death has left family, friends, and colleagues mourning her loss.

    The impact of this loss has resonated widely, with prominent political figures extending their heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family. President Asif Ali Zardari personally conveyed his condolences, praying for divine strength and patience for the family to endure this painful period. His message reflected the deep respect and affection held for Senator Rehman within the party and the broader political landscape.

    Meanwhile, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah expressed profound sorrow over the passing of Marvi Malik, highlighting the emotional toll on Senator Rehman and her loved ones. The Chief Minister’s statement underscored the close-knit nature of the PPP leadership and the solidarity shown during times of personal tragedy. Alongside him, several other senior party leaders and government officials voiced their grief, emphasizing the collective mourning within the political fraternity.

    Among those offering condolences was Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon, who openly shared his empathy with Senator Rehman and her family, acknowledging the difficulty of coping with such a loss. PPP leader Shazia Marri also expressed her shock and sadness, extending her deepest sympathies and standing in support of the family during this challenging time. The outpouring of grief from various quarters reflects the respect and affection Marvi Malik commanded.

    In addition to the PPP leadership, Sindh government spokesperson Saadia Javed publicly expressed her sorrow, affirming her solidarity with the family as they navigate this period of mourning. The tragedy has also touched leaders beyond Sindh; Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi described Marvi Malik’s death as an “unbearable loss,” sharing in the sorrow of Senator Rehman and her family. Such widespread condolences highlight the national impact of this personal tragedy.

    The family has announced that the funeral prayers for Marvi Khurshid Malik will be held on Monday at 3:30 pm in DHA Phase 8, Karachi. This event is expected to draw numerous attendees from political circles, friends, and well-wishers who wish to pay their final respects. As the nation mourns, the loss serves as a poignant reminder of the fragility of life and the importance of unity and support in times of grief.
