The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued a forecast predicting rainfall in Islamabad along with several other regions across the country over the next few hours. Heavy rainfall is anticipated in Rawalpindi, Galiyat, and Murree, prompting advisories for residents to stay alert due to changing weather conditions.

In the northern areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including Chitral, Dir, Swat, and Kohistan, rain is expected to be accompanied by strong winds and thunderstorms. Similarly, cities such as Peshawar, Mardan, Swabi, and Nowshera are likely to experience rainfall combined with gusty winds.

Thunderstorms and rain are also forecasted for Kohat, Bannu, Karak, Lakki Marwat, and Dera Ismail Khan, while areas like Parachinar, Kurram, Bajaur, Mohmand, and Khyber may witness rain alongside strong winds. Notably, heavy rain and hailstorms are expected in select locations within Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Meanwhile, parts of southern Punjab and upper Sindh are predicted to receive rain within the next one to three hours. In southern Punjab, rainfall may affect Dera Ghazi Khan, Bhakkar, Layyah, Taunsa Sharif, and Jhang. In upper Sindh, areas such as Larkana, Jacobabad, Kashmore, Sukkur, Dadu, and Qambar Shahdadkot are also expected to see precipitation.

Recent rainfall measurements indicate that Upper Dir recorded the highest precipitation with 39 millimeters over the past 24 hours. Malam Jabba registered 23 millimeters, and Chitral received 9 millimeters. Other areas included Pattan with 5 millimeters, Parachinar 4 millimeters, and Lower Dir 3 millimeters of rain.

Given the forecast of rain and strong winds across various regions, the PMD has urged citizens to stay informed about weather updates and exercise caution, especially avoiding unnecessary travel during adverse conditions.
