British screenwriter and producer Jemima Goldsmith has publicly confirmed her marriage to Irish-Australian financier Cameron O’Reilly by sharing photos from their wedding on Instagram. This announcement follows earlier reports of their union.

The couple exchanged vows in a private ceremony over the weekend. Jemima, 52, and O’Reilly, 62, have kept much of their relationship discreet, but family members have since acknowledged the joyous occasion on social media.

Among the first to celebrate the news was Jemima’s sister-in-law, Jemima Jones, who posted a photo with her husband Ben Goldsmith, expressing delight over the wedding day.

Jemima and Cameron initially connected through their work in film and documentaries, transitioning from friends to partners after about a year together. Their engagement was announced earlier this year.

Cameron O’Reilly is the son of the late Sir Anthony O’Reilly, an Irish businessman, media mogul, and former international rugby player. An Oxford alumnus, Cameron began his career in his father’s media enterprises before moving into private equity. He founded Bayard Capital and acquired the Swiss smart-meter firm Landis+Gyr, serving as CEO until its $2.3 billion sale to Toshiba in 2011.

O’Reilly has four children, while Jemima has two sons, Sulaiman and Kasim, from her previous marriage to former Pakistan Prime Minister and PTI founder Imran Khan.

Jemima’s marriage to Khan began in 1995 when she was 20 and he was a former cricket captain. They divorced in 2004, after which she returned to the UK with their children. Despite their separation, Jemima has maintained strong connections to Pakistan and has been vocal in supporting Khan during his imprisonment, describing his detention as a “human-rights emergency” and urging the British government to intervene.

She has also attended Pakistan cricket matches in Britain with her sons and used her platform to advocate for Khan’s release. Her ties to Pakistan have influenced her filmmaking, as she aims to depict the country’s vibrant culture rather than the often negative portrayals seen in Western media.

One of her recent film projects is a romantic comedy set in Pakistan, featuring Pakistani actor Sajal Ali alongside Shabana Azmi, Lily James, Emma Thompson, and Shahzad Latif.

This marriage comes nearly a year after the passing of Jemima’s mother, British socialite Lady Annabel Goldsmith. Her father, billionaire Sir James Goldsmith, died in 1997.
