KSI Announces Departure from Sidemen After 13 Years Citing Commitment Issues

KSI, the renowned content creator whose real name is Olajide Olatunji, has announced his decision to leave the Sidemen collective after 13 years. He explained that he can no longer provide the group with the full commitment it deserves as his career continues to grow in various directions.

On May 31, KSI shared that this choice was one of the most difficult moments of his professional life. He emphasized that his departure was not due to any internal conflicts within the group, dismissing rumors of a fallout. Instead, he attributed the decision solely to his personal circumstances.

He elaborated that over recent years, he has felt increasingly pulled in multiple directions beyond YouTube, including music, boxing, television, and business ventures. This expanding workload has left him feeling as though he has been running at full speed, making it impossible to dedicate himself fully to the Sidemen.

KSI expressed that the remaining members deserve someone who can commit 100% to the group’s activities moving forward. His announcement initially led many fans to believe it was a prank, but the news was later confirmed by his spokesperson. Meanwhile, the Sidemen expressed surprise at the decision but wished him well in his future endeavors.

Founded in the early 2010s, the Sidemen have grown into one of YouTube’s most prominent creator groups, with KSI emerging as its most recognizable figure. His departure marks a significant change for the collective and the millions of fans who have supported them over the past decade.
