Gold prices in Pakistan extended their upward trajectory on Saturday, marking the third consecutive session of gains. This rise mirrors the strengthening seen in the international bullion market.
The All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association announced that gold prices climbed by Rs5,700 per tola, reaching Rs482,936. Similarly, the rate for 10 grams of gold increased by Rs4,972, settling at Rs414,039.
On the global front, gold prices advanced by $57 per ounce, trading at $4,604. Meanwhile, silver prices in the local market remained steady, with silver valued at Rs7,379 per tola and Rs6,326 per 10 grams.
This recent surge follows notable increases in the preceding days. On Friday, gold prices jumped by Rs5,200 per tola to close at Rs477,136, while 10 grams rose by Rs4,458 to Rs409,067. Silver also experienced gains that day, increasing by Rs210 per tola and Rs180 per 10 grams.
Thursday saw an even sharper rise, with gold prices soaring Rs13,700 per tola to Rs471,936 and 10 grams climbing Rs11,746 to Rs404,609. Silver prices also edged upward, reaching Rs7,169 per tola.
Earlier in the week, gold prices showed a mixed pattern. On Wednesday, despite international gains, gold dropped by Rs3,700 per tola to Rs458,236. On Tuesday, prices held steady at Rs461,936 per tola, while Monday witnessed a Rs2,000 per tola increase, setting the price at Rs461,936.
