A Qatari liquefied natural gas tanker was attacked with “unidentified objects” while transiting Gulf waters, Qatar’s state news agency reported on Sunday. The attack took place on Friday evening and struck the Al Mayeda, a vessel owned by the Qatar Gas Transport Company, the agency said.
No injuries or environmental damage reported
None of the crew aboard the vessel were injured, and the report said there was no environmental impact. The Qatari company said the ship was in a “safe condition” and remained operational.
