Cristiano Ronaldo showcased his signature brilliance as Al Nassr secured the Saudi Pro League championship with a commanding 4-1 victory against Damac on the season’s final day. This triumph marks Al Nassr’s first league title since 2019.
Ronaldo netted two crucial goals in the second half, helping Jorge Jesus’ squad maintain a narrow lead over rivals Al Hilal, finishing the campaign with 86 points, two clear at the summit. The Portuguese forward once again proved pivotal in a tightly contested title race, delivering decisive moments that delighted the home supporters.
The match’s opening breakthrough came in the 34th minute when Sadio Mané soared above defenders to connect with a João Félix corner, heading the ball past the Damac goalkeeper to give Al Nassr the advantage.
Early in the second half, Kingsley Coman extended the lead with a dazzling run through the defense, culminating in a powerful left-footed strike from distance that found the bottom corner, igniting celebrations across the stadium.
Damac responded in the 58th minute when Morlaye Sylla converted a penalty, briefly reigniting their hopes of a comeback.
However, Ronaldo swiftly extinguished any chance of a Damac resurgence. In the 63rd minute, he delivered a spectacular free-kick, curling the ball into the net with precision and calm, restoring Al Nassr’s two-goal cushion.
He then confirmed the title victory in the 81st minute by reacting fastest to a loose clearance inside the box and firing a powerful shot into the roof of the net, completing his brace and sealing the win.
Meanwhile, Al Hilal secured a 1-0 win over Al Fayha, but it was insufficient to prevent Al Nassr from claiming the championship.
For Ronaldo, who joined Al Nassr in late 2022, this victory represents his first Saudi Pro League title and adds another significant achievement to a career marked by trophies, crucial goals, and unwavering ambition.
