Harry Kane delivered a stunning hat-trick to help Bayern Munich close their Bundesliga campaign with a commanding 5-1 victory over FC Cologne at home on Saturday. The England captain opened the scoring in the 10th minute with a precise volley, then quickly doubled the lead three minutes later by curling a free-kick past the wall.

Kane completed his treble in the 69th minute with a powerful long-range strike, bringing his league total to 36 goals this season. This achievement marks him as the first player in Bundesliga history to claim the top scorer award in each of his first three seasons in Germany, having now scored 98 goals in 94 league appearances.

FC Cologne’s Said El Mala briefly reduced the deficit in the 18th minute, but Bayern responded swiftly as Tom Bischof restored their two-goal advantage. Nicolas Jackson later added a fifth goal late in the match to seal the comprehensive win.

Bayern Munich concluded the season with 89 points from 34 matches, setting a new record by scoring 122 goals, surpassing their previous best of 101 goals from the 1971-72 season. Meanwhile, Michael Olise was honored as Bundesliga Player of the Season after contributing 15 goals and 19 assists, celebrating the accolade alongside his teammates in customary post-match festivities.

In a significant moment, midfielder Leon Goretzka lifted the Bundesliga trophy, potentially marking his final appearance after eight years with the club. Captain Manuel Neuer also featured despite managing a minor calf injury.

Behind Bayern, Borussia Dortmund secured second place with 73 points following a 2-0 win at Werder Bremen. RB Leipzig finished third, while VfB Stuttgart claimed fourth, earning the last Champions League qualification spot. TSG Hoffenheim and Bayer Leverkusen secured Europa League berths, and SC Freiburg clinched seventh place, granting them a Conference League position.

At the lower end of the table, FC Pauli was relegated, and VfL Wolfsburg will face a relegation playoff after narrowly avoiding the drop zone. This season’s finale confirmed Bayern Munich’s dominance and reshaped the European competition landscape for the coming year.
