Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has emphasized the need to strengthen government-to-government (G2G) and business-to-business (B2B) relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. The call came during a meeting with a Saudi business delegation led by Prince Mansour bin Mohammed Al Saud, Chairman of the Saudi-Pakistan Joint Business Council.

In a significant development, the prime minister expressed Pakistan’s desire to elevate its economic ties with Saudi Arabia into a strategic partnership. He welcomed the Saudi business community’s keen interest in investing in key sectors, highlighting that the present moment is ideal for expanding cooperation on both governmental and commercial fronts.

PM Shehbaz also extended his best regards to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. Meanwhile, Prince Mansour expressed gratitude for the warm reception and reaffirmed the Saudi government and business sector’s commitment to deepening economic relations with Pakistan.

Recalling Prince Mansour’s earlier visits to Pakistan, the prime minister noted that this current visit aims to translate collaborative efforts across various sectors into concrete initiatives. This would facilitate the signing of memoranda of understanding and agreements to further bilateral cooperation.

The meeting also explored new opportunities to enhance trade and investment between the two countries. During their stay, the Saudi delegation plans to engage with senior government officials and prominent private-sector representatives to identify fresh avenues for mutual investment and business collaboration.
