Pakistan places great importance on strengthening institutional cooperation and exchanging administrative expertise with allied nations, stated Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar on Friday. During a meeting with a senior Bangladeshi civil service delegation in Islamabad, Tarar highlighted the significant potential for structured partnerships between the training and capacity-building institutions of both South Asian countries.

He urged for a substantial expansion of bilateral initiatives, emphasizing the need for regular faculty exchanges, collaborative research projects, and the joint development of advanced training programs aimed at enhancing public sector performance.

In a significant development, the Information Minister referred to the ongoing Executive Development Programme between the civil services of Pakistan and Bangladesh as a landmark achievement, representing a major step forward in bilateral cooperation over recent decades. He pointed out that both nations share a profound historical connection and a common foundation in public administration and governance systems.

The visiting Bangladeshi delegation showed strong interest in Pakistan’s current administrative framework, focusing particularly on the civil service reforms underway across various government sectors.

Welcoming the recent positive momentum in bilateral relations, Tarar stressed that closer institutional ties would deepen mutual trust and create opportunities for constructive collaboration in the future. Meanwhile, Tariq Fatemi, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister, also attended the meeting and strongly supported enhancing professional and institutional links between Islamabad and Dhaka.

Fatemi remarked that solid bilateral relations are crucial for promoting long-term regional harmony, stability, and mutual understanding throughout South Asia.
