Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has reiterated that supporting traders remains the foremost priority for the government. He assured that authorities will maintain full cooperation with the business community to foster economic growth.

Naqvi stated that discussions about those who have left the country are no longer productive, emphasizing that the focus should shift towards strengthening the economy and maximizing existing opportunities. He highlighted the possibility of tracking funds taken abroad and suggested that questioning a few individuals could reveal important information.

In a significant development, the minister affirmed that both the Prime Minister and Field Marshal are committed to fulfilling their promises. He also addressed the issue of money changers, noting that their activities are well understood and warning that there will be no tolerance for money laundering under the current circumstances.

Naqvi encouraged citizens to utilize banking channels for currency exchange and mentioned that businessmen have the potential to bring in up to $10 billion before the upcoming budget, describing this as an attainable goal. He further claimed that approximately $100 billion has been transferred out of Pakistan, adding that even a 30 percent repatriation through Roshan Digital Accounts would have a substantial positive impact.

Finally, the Interior Minister stressed that the entire business community should not be penalized for the misconduct of a few individuals, underscoring the government’s balanced approach towards economic facilitation and regulatory enforcement.
