CDF Asim Munir Vows No Tolerance for Terror from Afghan Sanctuaries Threatening Pakistan’s Secu…

Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Field Marshal Asim Munir has delivered a firm message regarding Pakistan’s security stance, emphasizing that terrorists operating from sanctuaries across the Afghan border will not be permitted to jeopardize the country’s stability. This declaration comes amid heightened tensions along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, where Pakistani forces have been actively responding to unprovoked attacks launched by the Afghan Taliban.

Prior to the announcement of a ceasefire coinciding with Eid ul Fitr celebrations, Pakistani military operations resulted in the elimination of over 450 militants affiliated with the Afghan Taliban and Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). These operations also targeted and destroyed several key Afghan infrastructure sites used by these hostile elements. The military’s decisive actions underscore Pakistan’s commitment to neutralizing threats that emanate from across the border.

It is worth noting that Pakistan’s government has consistently urged the Afghan Taliban to honor the commitments made during the Doha Agreement, which include preventing Afghan territory from being exploited for terrorist activities against Pakistan. Despite these repeated calls, the promises remain largely unfulfilled, contributing to an escalation in hostilities between the neighboring countries. This ongoing challenge highlights the fragile security dynamics in the region and the complexities involved in achieving lasting peace.

In a related development, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) released a statement detailing Field Marshal Munir’s recent visit to Kurram, where he spent Eid ul Fitr with frontline troops and officers. The CDF led Eid prayers and invoked blessings for Pakistan’s enduring stability and prosperity. During his time with the personnel, he extended heartfelt Eid greetings and expressed deep appreciation for their unwavering dedication, high morale, and exemplary professionalism in defending the nation’s sovereignty.

Field Marshal Munir also praised the courage and resilience demonstrated by the troops during Operation Ghazab-lil-Haq, a critical campaign aimed at dismantling terrorist networks and restoring peace in the volatile border regions. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to regional peace and stability, stressing that Afghan soil must never be used as a launching pad for hostile actions against Pakistan.

Highlighting the sacrifices made by the nation’s martyrs, the CDF attributed the operational successes to the relentless efforts and steadfast resolve of the officers and soldiers. He expressed immense pride in their perseverance and reiterated the Armed Forces’ steadfast dedication to safeguarding Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity at all costs.

Meanwhile, the situation along the border remains tense, with both sides closely monitoring developments. The military leadership’s strong stance serves as a clear warning to hostile elements that Pakistan will continue to take all necessary measures to protect its citizens and maintain peace within its borders. As the region navigates these challenges, the importance of diplomatic engagement alongside military vigilance remains paramount.
