Quoting the Holy Quran, the President reminded the nation that fasting is prescribed to cultivate righteousness and moral purity.
President Zardari further highlighted the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), who said that fasting with sincere faith leads to the forgiveness of past and future sins. He urged Pakistanis to embody the values of patience, tolerance, compassion, justice, and brotherhood, which are essential not only for individual growth but also for building a strong and united nation. The President called upon citizens to promote social harmony, extend support to orphans and the needy, and uphold national unity, constitutional supremacy, and the rule of law.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) highlighted that Eid embodies the enduring values of unity, compassion, and gratitude, which resonate deeply within the armed forces.
The military leaders acknowledged the sacrifices made by service members who remain away from their families to safeguard the country’s peace and security.
