In a deeply disturbing event that has shaken the community of Katlang in Mardan, armed assailants forcibly entered a residence in the Qasmi neighborhood and unleashed a barrage of gunfire. This violent attack resulted in the tragic deaths of three women and left two children wounded, casting a pall of fear over the local population.

The victims who lost their lives have been identified as the wife of Mehbub, the wife of Fayaz, and Mehbub’s daughter. The two children who sustained injuries during the shooting have been named Shameel, son of Fayaz, and Amara, daughter of Pir Muhammad. Both children were immediately rushed to a nearby hospital where they are currently receiving medical care for their bullet wounds.

Authorities responded swiftly to the incident, dispatching a substantial police force to the scene to secure the area and begin a thorough investigation. Despite their efforts, the attackers managed to escape before law enforcement could apprehend them. The police have launched an extensive manhunt to track down the perpetrators responsible for this heinous act.

At this point, the motive behind the brutal assault remains unclear, leaving investigators puzzled and the community anxious. Residents of the Qasmi area have voiced their alarm and are demanding urgent action from the authorities to bring the culprits to justice and restore a sense of security in the neighborhood.

This incident has not only resulted in tragic loss of life but has also highlighted ongoing concerns about safety and law enforcement effectiveness in the region. The local police have assured the public that every possible resource will be deployed to solve the case and prevent such violent episodes in the future.
