Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Syed Asim Munir marked the Eid festivities by spending the day alongside Pakistan Army troops stationed in the Kurram region. His visit included participating in Eid prayers with the soldiers, engaging directly with frontline personnel, and acknowledging their steadfast professionalism and high morale amid ongoing security operations. This gesture highlighted the military leadership’s commitment to maintaining close contact with troops deployed in challenging environments.

Upon his arrival, the CDF was warmly welcomed by the Corps Commander Peshawar, reflecting the high regard in which he is held by senior military officials. The Eid prayers, which were conducted in the presence of the troops, also included supplications for the continued stability and prosperity of Pakistan. This spiritual gathering served as a moment of unity and reflection for the soldiers, reinforcing their resolve to protect the nation.

During his time in Kurram, CDF Munir took the opportunity to commend the soldiers for their critical role in the recent Operation Ghazab-ul-Haq. He praised their relentless efforts in dismantling militant networks that have long threatened the security of the region. These operations have been pivotal in disrupting insurgent activities and restoring peace to volatile areas along the border.

The military’s media wing emphasized that the CDF reiterated Pakistan Armed Forces’ unwavering dedication to safeguarding the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. He made it clear that Pakistan will not tolerate any security threats originating from militant sanctuaries within Afghanistan. Stressing the importance of regional stability, he underscored that Afghan territory must not be exploited as a base for hostile actions against Pakistan.

In his address to the troops, the CDF highlighted that the recent successes on the battlefield are a direct result of the sacrifices made by martyrs and the steadfast determination of soldiers serving on the frontlines. He expressed deep appreciation for their courage and resilience, which continue to be instrumental in countering threats to national security. His visit served not only as a morale booster but also as a firm reminder of the military’s resolve to confront and neutralize any challenges to Pakistan’s peace and security.
