    On March 8, 2026, ARY Digital Network, one of Pakistan’s most prominent and widely watched television broadcasters, announced the acquisition of a majority stake in the digital media platform Nukta. This strategic move is part of ARY Group’s larger vision to solidify its position as a leader in the rapidly evolving digital media environment. By integrating Nukta into its portfolio, ARY aims to blend its long-standing expertise in traditional broadcast journalism with the dynamic and interactive nature of digital storytelling, catering to the changing consumption habits of modern audiences.

    ARY Group’s decision to acquire Nukta highlights the company’s ongoing commitment to innovation and adaptability in the media sector. Over the past two decades, ARY has built a reputation for delivering high-quality content across television channels that reach millions of viewers not only within Pakistan but also internationally. This acquisition will further enhance ARY’s ability to engage audiences through diverse digital platforms, reflecting the growing importance of online media in shaping public discourse and news consumption.

    Salman Iqbal, the Founder of ARY Digital Network and CEO of ARY Group, emphasized the significance of this development by stating that the media landscape is undergoing rapid transformation. He noted that ARY has consistently been at the forefront of media innovation and that incorporating Nukta into the ARY ecosystem will strengthen the group’s digital presence while complementing its established global broadcast operations. Iqbal, this integrated approach will enable the delivery of impactful journalism and creative storytelling tailored for the digital era, meeting the expectations of a new generation of viewers.

    Despite the acquisition, Nukta will continue to operate from its headquarters in Dubai, maintaining its operational independence while benefiting from ARY Group’s extensive resources and production capabilities. This partnership will allow Nukta to expand its content offerings and reach a wider audience by leveraging ARY’s established media infrastructure. Originally launched as Nukta Pakistan and Nukta Dubai, the platform has diversified into several specialized verticals including Nukta Business, Nukta Crime, and Nukta Life. These segments have already cultivated a loyal digital following and are poised for further growth under ARY’s strategic guidance.

    Kamran Khan, the founder of Nukta and a seasoned journalist with over 42 years of experience in both print and television media, has taken on the role of Chairman for and Nukta. Khan expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, highlighting the unique opportunity to merge ARY’s extensive broadcast reach with Nukta’s rapidly expanding digital platform. He envisions creating a modern media entity that delivers trustworthy journalism, incisive analysis, and engaging storytelling to audiences across Pakistan and the broader South Asian diaspora worldwide.

    As part of this integration, Nukta’s flagship program, “On My Radar” (OMR), hosted by Kamran Khan, will soon be broadcast on . This move will significantly increase the show’s visibility, bringing its insightful content to a much larger television audience. The acquisition represents a significant milestone in ARY Group’s transformation into a comprehensive multi-platform media powerhouse, combining its strong television presence with a growing digital footprint to serve diverse audiences both domestically and internationally.
