Pakistani security forces foiled an attempted drone attack in Balochistan on Friday, shooting down five drones, according to security sources. The sources said the attack was carried out by Fitna al-Hindustan.

Terrorists had tried to target a checkpoint in the Kharan area of Al-Bat. The drones were destroyed before reaching their intended target, and no loss of life or property was reported, the sources added. Security forces said they remain committed to eliminating terrorism from Balochistan.

ISPR links militants to alleged Indian support

The ISPR said the terrorists belonged to a Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan-linked group, referred to by authorities as Fitna al-Khawarij, and were operating with Indian support. Large quantities of weapons and ammunition were recovered, and clearance operations are continuing.

The ISPR said Operation Azm-e-Istehkam would continue until what it called foreign-sponsored terrorism was eliminated. It paid tribute to the personnel who lost their lives.
