Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has publicly declared his readiness to join peaceful protests in Pakistan condemning the recent attacks on Iran. In a significant statement made during a gathering with prominent Shia scholars in Islamabad, Naqvi expressed deep sorrow over the violent strikes targeting Iran and the alarming reports concerning the assassination attempt on Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. His remarks underscore the government’s commitment to stand alongside the people and religious leaders during this sensitive period.

Addressing the attendees, Naqvi highlighted the collective grief felt by Pakistanis in response to the escalating conflict in the region. He emphasized the importance of unity among all citizens, warning that adversarial forces are actively seeking to sow discord and division within the country. The minister’s call for solidarity reflects a broader desire to maintain harmony and prevent sectarian tensions from escalating amid these international developments.

Moreover, Naqvi stressed that any demonstrations held in response to the attacks must be conducted with the utmost restraint and respect for Pakistan’s national interests. He reminded the public that peaceful protests are a democratic right but must not compromise law and order. The minister also acknowledged the influential role that religious scholars have historically played in guiding the nation through periods of turmoil, urging them to once again act as voices of reason and stability.

In his appeal to the religious leadership, Naqvi called on them to actively discourage any form of violence during protests and to help ensure that public demonstrations remain calm and orderly. He underscored the necessity of patience and discipline among protestors, highlighting that maintaining peace is crucial not only for the safety of citizens but also for preserving Pakistan’s internal security during these challenging times.

This development comes amid heightened regional tensions following attacks on Iran, which have sparked widespread concern and solidarity movements across Pakistan. The Interior Minister’s willingness to personally participate in peaceful protests sends a strong message of government support for the people’s sentiments while reinforcing the need for responsible civic engagement. As the situation unfolds, authorities continue to monitor the security landscape closely, aiming to balance public expression with the imperative of national stability.
