The AS-level Business Studies examination paper for Cambridge International Education (CIE) was reportedly leaked online, sparking serious concerns about the security of the exams. This incident follows closely after CIE acknowledged a leak involving the Advanced Subsidiary (AS) Mathematics Paper 1, which was shared prematurely in violation of their regulations.
The Business Studies exam, scheduled for today, was allegedly circulated on social media platforms last night. Among three exam papers shared online, the Business Studies paper identified by the code “9609 Paper 1” was included.
In a statement released on April 30, CIE confirmed that the Cambridge International AS Level Mathematics Paper 12 (9709), administered across Africa, Europe, the Middle East, Pakistan, and South Asia, had been shared ahead of time, breaching their rules. The examination board has launched a prompt and thorough investigation to assess the scope of the leak and decide on the appropriate measures concerning the compromised paper.
Notably, CIE emphasized that their foremost priority is to ensure that students are not unfairly affected by these incidents. The board is committed to implementing all necessary steps to safeguard the integrity of the examinations and uphold confidence in the grades awarded.
