A distinctive “Vibe Coding” competition has been officially launched to engage the youth of Pakistan, offering a grand prize of Rs 25 lac. This initiative is a collaborative effort between the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication and Google for Developers, designed to challenge local coders and prepare them for the global IT arena.
Under the banner of the “Learn AI 2026” program, participants including students and professionals will gain access to advanced Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools and methodologies. This partnership with a leading technology company like Google is expected to play a pivotal role in revolutionizing Pakistan’s digital ecosystem.
Key aspects of the competition include an open registration process through the official Learn AI 2026 portal. The initial phase commenced on April 11 and will continue until May 3. During this period, contestants will utilize the “Google AI Studio” platform to create innovative applications and games.
Shortlisted developers will have the opportunity to present their projects in major urban centers including Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad. The program is offered free of charge, providing participants with cloud computing credits, expert mentorship, and entry into international developer networks.
Federal Minister for IT and Telecommunication, Shaza Fatima Khawaja, highlighted the initiative’s goal to transform Pakistan into an “AI-powered economy.” She emphasized that empowering the youth with contemporary digital skills will significantly boost the nation’s development trajectory. This competition offers a unique chance for Pakistani youth to learn directly from Google specialists while demonstrating their talents on a worldwide platform.
