The Election Commission has finalized the voter and polling arrangements for the GBLA-6 Hunza constituency ahead of the upcoming Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly elections. A total of 52,237 registered voters are eligible to cast their ballots in this single constituency.
Notably, the electorate comprises 26,565 male voters and 25,672 female voters, indicating a nearly balanced gender distribution. To facilitate the voting process, 88 polling stations and 161 polling booths have been established throughout the constituency.
Of these polling stations, 35 are allocated exclusively for male voters, 30 for female voters, while 23 are designated as joint polling stations. Election officials have confirmed that all necessary preparations have been completed to ensure a smooth and efficient polling process in the district’s only seat.
Meanwhile, the distribution of polling stations and booths has been strategically planned to manage voter turnout effectively and provide accessibility across the region. With these arrangements in place, focus now turns to polling day, when thousands of voters are expected to participate in deciding the outcome of this closely contested constituency.
