The government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has unveiled an ambitious plan to establish 72 Chief Minister Model Schools throughout the province. This significant decision was finalized during a meeting held in Peshawar on Wednesday, which was presided over by the Chief Minister Sohail Afridi. The initiative aims to enhance educational standards by providing modern facilities and trained teaching staff across all districts.

During the session, the Chief Minister received a detailed briefing on the proposed framework and key features of these model schools. The plan envisions separate campuses for boys and girls, ensuring inclusive access to quality education. Following the discussion, the Chief Minister directed officials to promptly initiate the development of the necessary legal framework to facilitate the establishment of these institutions.

Notably, the project has been allocated a budget of Rs9.5 billion, reflecting the government’s commitment to investing in the province’s educational infrastructure. These schools are expected to operate under distinct rules and regulations designed to uplift the quality of education and provide students with world-class learning environments. The initiative is scheduled to roll out in the upcoming financial year, marking a major step towards educational reform in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Meanwhile, the government emphasized that these schools will not only focus on infrastructure but also prioritize the recruitment of qualified and trained teachers. This comprehensive approach aims to ensure that students receive a high standard of education, preparing them for future academic and professional success. The establishment of these model schools is seen as a crucial development in the province’s ongoing efforts to improve educational outcomes for its youth.
