The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has officially transferred assets valued at Rs.6 billion to the government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP). This handover represents a major achievement in the bureau’s ongoing efforts to recover misappropriated public funds and combat corruption within the province. The recovered assets are expected to bolster the provincial government’s financial resources, enabling enhanced public service delivery and development projects.

In a significant development, this transfer underscores NAB’s commitment to reclaiming illicit wealth and returning it to the rightful custodians, thereby strengthening governance and accountability in KP. The recovered assets include cash, property, and other valuables seized during various anti-corruption investigations. This move also sends a strong message about the government’s resolve to tackle corruption and promote transparency across all levels of administration.

Meanwhile, the KP government has welcomed the handover, emphasizing that these funds will be utilized to support social welfare initiatives and infrastructure improvements. The collaboration between NAB and provincial authorities highlights the importance of coordinated efforts in addressing financial crimes. This milestone recovery is expected to encourage further vigilance and cooperation in the fight against corruption nationwide.
