Iran’s Revolutionary Guards Launch Missiles at Israel and US Bases in Gulf Amid Rising Tensions

Tehran witnessed a significant escalation in regional hostilities on Wednesday as Iran’s Revolutionary Guards announced the launch of missile strikes targeting Israel and several US military installations across the Gulf. a statement broadcast on Iranian state television, the missile attacks were directed at “targets in the heart of the occupied territories,” a clear reference to Israel, as well as American military bases located in Kuwait, Jordan, and Bahrain. The statement highlighted the use of precision-guided missile systems, both liquid- and solid-fueled, alongside attack drones, underscoring the sophisticated nature of the offensive.

In response to these aggressive maneuvers, Kuwaiti air defense forces were reported to have actively engaged incoming missiles and drones early Wednesday morning. The Kuwaiti military confirmed that their air defense systems were operational and responding to the hostile aerial threats. This came after a series of drone attacks, one of which ignited a fire at Kuwait’s primary international airport, causing disruption and raising alarm across the region. These developments mark a continuation of nearly four weeks of escalating conflict affecting several Gulf nations.

It is worth noting that this surge in military activity has drawn international attention and concern, particularly from countries seeking to stabilize the volatile situation. In a related development, Pakistan has publicly expressed its support for efforts aimed at achieving a ceasefire in the Middle East. The Pakistani Prime Minister, Shehbaz Sharif, took to social media to emphasize Pakistan’s endorsement of ongoing diplomatic initiatives designed to halt the hostilities and restore peace and stability in the region.

Prime Minister Sharif’s statement underscored Pakistan’s willingness to play a constructive role by offering to host negotiations aimed at de-escalating tensions. He highlighted the importance of dialogue and peaceful resolution, stressing that the continuation of conflict not only threatens regional security but also has broader implications beyond the immediate area. “Pakistan welcomes and fully supports ongoing efforts to pursue dialogue to end the WAR in Middle East, in the interest of peace and stability in region and beyond,” he affirmed.

Meanwhile, the situation remains fluid as the international community watches closely. The missile strikes by Iran’s Revolutionary Guards represent a bold and provocative step that could further destabilize an already fragile geopolitical landscape. The involvement of multiple countries and the targeting of US military bases in the Gulf add layers of complexity to the conflict, making diplomatic efforts all the more urgent.

As the region grapples with these developments, the coming days will be critical in determining whether dialogue can prevail over further military confrontation. The willingness of Pakistan to facilitate peace talks offers a glimmer of hope amid rising tensions, but the path to lasting stability remains uncertain.
