Pak Army Advances in Operation Ghazab-Lil-Haq, Destroys Badani Post on Border

Pakistan’s military has ramped up its efforts in Operation Ghazab-Lil-Haq, focusing on dismantling militant strongholds along the volatile Pak-Afghan border. In a significant development, the Badani post located in Chitral was completely destroyed during the latest phase of this operation, marking a decisive blow against insurgent elements in the region.

The Pakistan Army executed a meticulously coordinated offensive targeting positions reportedly used by the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and other Taliban-affiliated groups operating near the border. These militant factions have long exploited the rugged terrain of Chitral to launch cross-border attacks and destabilize the area, prompting a robust military response.

Security officials revealed that the assault on the Badani post involved a combination of small arms fire and heavy weaponry, supported by advanced surveillance and attack drones, including quadcopters. This integration of aerial and ground forces ensured the post was thoroughly neutralized, with militants forced to retreat from multiple fronts. The operation also targeted groups identified as “Fitna al-Khawarij,” who have been implicated in recent hostile activities against Pakistan’s security apparatus.

Operation Ghazab-Lil-Haq is part of a broader strategic initiative by Pakistan’s armed forces to eliminate terrorist sanctuaries along the border and restore stability to the region. Military officials have emphasized that the campaign will persist until all operational goals are met, signaling a sustained commitment to counterterrorism efforts in this sensitive border zone.

This escalation in military activity follows closely on the heels of an incident involving the interception of two unmanned aerial vehicles over Islamabad and Rawalpindi. The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting confirmed that these drones, linked to militant factions including Fitna al-Khawarij, were successfully shot down using cutting-edge anti-drone technology. Fortunately, the debris caused only minor damage without any casualties or harm to critical infrastructure.

Prior to the shootdown, authorities had reported a drone sighting in Islamabad’s Sector I-9, prompting temporary security measures and area restrictions while the situation was assessed. These recent events underscore the evolving nature of threats faced by Pakistan’s security forces and highlight the importance of technological advancements in counterterrorism operations.

As Operation Ghazab-Lil-Haq continues, the Pakistan Army remains vigilant and determined to secure the border region from militant incursions, reinforcing the government’s resolve to maintain peace and stability in the country’s northwestern frontier.
