Iran’s Revolutionary Guards Threaten Israeli PM Netanyahu Amid Rising Regional Tensions

Tehran’s Revolutionary Guards issued a stark warning on Sunday, declaring their intent to relentlessly pursue and eliminate Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu amid escalating hostilities involving Israel and the United States. The Guards described Netanyahu as a “child-killing criminal” and vowed on their official Sepah News platform that as long as he remains alive, they will continue their efforts to target him with full force. This declaration underscores the deepening animosity and the increasingly aggressive posture Iran is adopting in this protracted conflict.

Meanwhile, developments in Yemen have added another layer of complexity to the regional dynamics. A senior figure from Yemen’s Ansarallah resistance movement confirmed that the group is coordinating closely with Iran and its allied forces in response to what they describe as ongoing aggression from Israel and the United States. Mohammed al-Bukhaiti, a prominent member of Ansarallah’s political bureau, emphasized in a recent interview that Yemen’s direct military engagement in the conflict is imminent, stating that it is “only a matter of time” before their forces become actively involved.

Al-Bukhaiti echoed the sentiments of Ansarallah’s leader, Sayyed Abdulmalik al-Houthi, by asserting that “our hands are on the trigger,” signaling a high state of readiness to intervene whenever the situation demands. This rhetoric highlights the growing willingness of regional actors to escalate their involvement, potentially broadening the scope of the conflict beyond its current theaters. The Yemeni resistance leader also staunchly defended Tehran’s recent retaliatory strikes against American military installations, framing them as justified responses to ongoing provocations.

In addition to military coordination, al-Bukhaiti issued a strong appeal for unity among countries in the Persian Gulf region, urging them to stand together against what he described as the aggressive policies of the United States and Israel. He warned Gulf nations to be wary of Washington’s intentions, suggesting that the U.S. aims to draw them into conflicts with Iran, thereby destabilizing the region further. This call for solidarity reflects the heightened tensions and the shifting alliances that are shaping the geopolitical landscape in the Middle East.

The current conflict erupted on February 28 following the assassination of Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei and several senior commanders, an event that has dramatically intensified hostilities. Now entering its fifteenth day, the confrontation shows no signs of abating. Iranian armed forces have responded with sustained military operations, conducting over 45 waves of what they call Operation True Promise 4. These strikes have targeted Israeli military positions as well as U.S. bases scattered across the region, demonstrating Tehran’s commitment to a prolonged campaign against its adversaries.

As the situation continues to evolve, the involvement of proxy groups like Ansarallah and the explicit threats against high-profile figures such as Netanyahu indicate that the conflict could escalate further, drawing in additional regional players. The international community remains watchful as these developments threaten to destabilize an already volatile region, with potentially far-reaching consequences for global security and diplomacy.
