In a solemn national broadcast, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif addressed the people of Pakistan regarding the intensifying conflict in the Middle East, describing the situation as deeply troubling and complex. He underscored the gravity of the ongoing turmoil engulfing the region, which has significant implications not only for the countries directly involved but also for global peace and security.

During his speech, the Prime Minister reaffirmed Pakistan’s steadfast dedication to resolving international disputes through peaceful means. He emphasized that diplomacy has always been the cornerstone of Pakistan’s foreign policy, stating that the country consistently advocates for dialogue and negotiation rather than confrontation. This approach, he noted, reflects Pakistan’s broader commitment to fostering stability and harmony in volatile regions.

Reflecting on Pakistan’s own historical experiences, PM Shehbaz Sharif recalled the leadership of Field Marshal Ayub Khan, highlighting how his administration prioritized the protection of citizens during times of national crisis. The Prime Minister drew a parallel to the present, stressing that safeguarding the lives and property of the people remains a paramount responsibility of the government. This historical perspective served to remind the nation of Pakistan’s resilience and the importance of strong governance in uncertain times.

Turning attention to Pakistan’s western frontier, the Prime Minister acknowledged the persistent security challenges posed by terrorism emanating from across the border. He conveyed the government’s vigilance in addressing these threats and reiterated the need for continued efforts to maintain peace and stability within the country. This acknowledgment highlighted the multifaceted security environment Pakistan currently faces, balancing internal safety with regional diplomatic concerns.

In a firm condemnation, PM Shehbaz Sharif denounced the recent attacks targeting Gulf countries, expressing Pakistan’s unwavering support for its Gulf allies. He stressed that Pakistan stands united with these nations in the face of aggression, reinforcing the country’s solidarity and strategic partnership with the Gulf states. This declaration was a clear message of Pakistan’s alignment with efforts to maintain peace and security in the Gulf region.

Concluding his address, the Prime Minister reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to pursuing peaceful resolutions through careful and wise diplomatic engagement. He emphasized that in these challenging times, it is essential to rely on dialogue and strategic patience to navigate conflicts effectively. His closing remarks reflected a call for prudence and unity, encouraging the nation to support the government’s efforts in promoting peace both regionally and internationally.
